We encourage all visits to our office to be by appointment only. Illness visits are scheduled as needed, even the same day. Well child checks should be scheduled 4-6 weeks in advance. Most well child checks will be scheduled first available in the morning or early afternoon. Our nursing staff is trained to answer basic questions in regards to your child’s health and is available to help you decide whether an office visit is necessary. Our goal is to meet your family’s need in the best possible way.
Extended consultation times are available for more complicated problems and should be scheduled 4-6 weeks in advance. Most consultations are scheduled as the last appointment of the morning. Our receptionist will assist you in scheduling these appointments.
Certain times of the day are ‘peak’ time when the office will nearly always be busy. Such times include ‘after school’ from 3-5 pm and all day Monday. If you do not absolutely have to have an appointment during these times, you would be better served by scheduling your visit during slower periods such as the early afternoon, early morning and other weekdays.
Certain times of the year are also peak times for certain types of visits. For example, everyone needs a check-up or sports physical during the summer months. Therefore, you will want to schedule those appointments at least 4-6 weeks in advance. Other times of the year can be quite busy as well, such as sick visits in the winter season. We try to accommodate your preferences for appointment times.
